Social Justice Champions: Supporting people, helping them to be heard and protecting their rights

Does your organisation provide one-to-one support to people who are minoritised, marginalised or experience discrimination and disadvantage?

Does your organisation make a difference to people's lives by challenging unfairness and inequalities to achieve social justice?

This course is for people who provide support to individuals either in an advocacy setting or more broadly and want to develop/improve their practice and skills. The course shows how Independent Advocacy principles, frameworks and core skills that use a person-centred approach can be applied in your organisation to achieve improved social justice outcomes for the people you support.

The principles of social justice

“Social justice is justice in terms of the distribution of wealthopportunities, and privileges within a society.” Oxford Languages

“The idea that all people should have the same rights and opportunities and that a country’s wealth and resources should benefit everyone in that country.” Cambridge Dictionary
