Volunteering Newcastle
The above video showcases the voices of volunteers from Newcastle-based organisations supported by the North of Tyne Volunteer Development and Social Action Programme during its first two years.
This work is part of a partnership programme involving seven North of Tyne partner organisations: VODA, Connected Voice, Volunteer Centre Newcastle, Northumberland CVS, Community Action Northumberland, Blyth Valley CVS, and The Key. Connected Voice and Volunteer Centre Newcastle have been proudly working together to deliver this work in Newcastle.
We are now in the third year of the programme and organisations wishing to get involved can find out more below. This project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), administered by the North East Combined Authority (NECA).
Our Volunteering Newcastle service supports volunteer-involving organisations that operate in Newcastle through the following:
- Reviewing your volunteer programme through the Volunteer Health Check and providing organisational support around working with volunteers with additional needs.
- Listening to your views, concerns and ideas as a volunteer-involving organisation and taking these to local decision makers to generate new initiatives and shape the future of volunteering in Newcastle.
- The Newcastle Volunteer Coordinators' and Managers' Network - a new network of professionals that meet quarterly at One Strawberry Lane.
For more information about any of these services, or to join the network and find out about the next meeting, contact our Volunteering Voice and Engagement Manager Nimerta Virdee on 0191 211 3940 or at nimerta.virdee@connectedvoice.org.uk
