We provide a range of Health and Social Care Advocacy services, funded by contracts and grants. These are different to our Statutory Advocacy services (which are provided as a right under legislation).
Health and Social Care Advocacy
We are commissioned by Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group to provide advocacy support for adults with health and social care needs in Newcastle and Gateshead.

- Prepare for meetings

Our Refugee and Asylum Seekers Project, funded by the Linden Family Fund at the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, provides vital Independent Advocacy for refugees and asylum seekers aged 18 and over who are based in Newcastle and Gateshead.
Our advocates are able to work with individuals experiencing multiple complex issues, including those relating to housing, health and social care, and immigration needs.
Our advocates can help you:
- Understand your right to legal support in the asylum process
- Access specialist legal support for this process
- Understand your rights to health and social care, and how to go about accessing this
- Understand your rights around housing, and support you to access appropriate services
- Feel empowered to self-advocate

Hate Crime Advocacy
Have you experienced hate crime or been targeted because of your race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender identity?
This service is for anyone affected by hate crime who is aged 16 or over, and lives in Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, North or South Tyneside, or Northumberland.
