Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: putting it into practice

This tailored training session is perfect if your organisation:

This training will enable participants to understand the meaning and purpose of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and make practical changes in your organisation to achieve better delivery of services. The focus is on beneficiaries and service delivery, but also touches on trustee and staff diversity.

Learning outcomes: Through a combination of activities and discussion participants will:

  • Reflect on your organisation's values, policies and practices
  • Refresh on the legislation, protected characteristics and intersectionality that underpin EDI work
  • Explore inequalities, biases, privilege and power
  • Develop skills to find and interpret demographic data
  • Identify and prioritise actions to foster a culture of inclusion

Who for: The session is perfect for staff, volunteers and trustees who are already committed to embedding EDI into their organisation, and is suitable for those with or without significant experience of identifying EDI priorities and action-planning. It covers the broad concept of EDI rather than specific issues around protected characteristics - if you are seeking training on specific protected characteristics, then we can recommend a local organisation that can help.
