Connected Voice AGM 2025: Resilience and Renewal - The VCSE Sector in Challenging Times

Join us at the Connected Voice Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 10 April 2025, at St Mary’s Heritage Centre, Oakwellgate, Gateshead, NE8 2AU.

The AGM theme is Resilience and Renewal: The VCSE Sector in Challenging Times. Our Keynote speaker will be Nathan Gamester, Managing Director of The Centre for Social Justice Foundation, who will be talking about the multiple issues facing small charities across the country.

We will also be joined by Mandy Coppin, Chief Executive of Streetwise Young People's Project in Newcastle who will speak from recent experience about the factors leading her charity to take the decision to merge with Everyturn Mental Health charity.

Additionally, Gateshead Community Bridgebuilders will host a pop-up photography exhibition titled Resilient Women of Gateshead, showcasing the stories of residents from Teams and Dunston .   

Schedule:

  • Registration: 1:00 PM (with tea and coffee)
  • AGM Start: 1:30 PM
  • Conclusion: Around 3:30 PM (followed by afternoon tea, coffee, and cake, with ample networking opportunities)

Location: St. Mary’s Heritage Centre, former medieval church – TWBPT conveniently located near bus routes and Gateshead metro station.

  • The venue is less than a 20 minute walk from the centre of Newcastle

  • The venue is a 16 minute walk from Newcastle Central Station for National Rail links
