At Connected Voice, our mission has always been to champion strong, fair, and connected communities. We’re taking that commitment even further with a refreshed strategy that places collaboration, inclusion, and impact at the heart of everything we do.

Connected Voice conducts an annual snapshot of the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across Newcastle and Gateshead, offering valuable insights into its scale, diversity, and ongoing evolution.

Across the UK, we have seen a rise in racist aggression, anti-migrant violence, hate crimes, and the increasing normalisation of extreme, far-right views by public figures. This has led to people in our communities feeling unsafe and facing increasing violence.

Over the months of May to July 2025, Connected Voice, in partnership with Newcastle Council, The Relationships Project, and the Centre for Creative Conversation, put together a series of workshops to create a network of bridgebuilders across Newcastle. 

Connected Voice's very first Gateshead Volunteer Recruitment Fair is taking place on Wednesday 8th October 10:00am-1:00pm at Gateshead Leisure Centre, Alexandra Rd, Gateshead NE8 4JA

Small Sparks Plus is a grants scheme from Newcastle City Council, administered by Connected Voice. It is designed to help VCSE organisations improve the health and wellbeing of their local communities.
