Groundwork Grassroots Grants: Support community-led projects tackling local issues.
Closing date
Unrestricted grants of upto £2,000 can be accessed by organisations whose income is under £25,000 in the last financial year to support groups that provide vital services in their local communities.
Funding is available to organisations working in areas that fall within the top 15% most disadvantaged communities in England, as measured by the English Indices of Deprivation.
The grants are flexible and can be used for a wide range of costs, including:
- Paying staff or volunteer expenses
- Purchasing equipment or materials
- Covering core running costs such as rent and utilities
- Providing training for staff or volunteers
- Hiring consultants to support organisational development
Applications can be submitted at any time between January and September 2026. Decisions are usually made within 10 weeks of submitting an application.
