Tell us about your organisation (history, aims, vision):

We have set up this social enterprise with lived experience of seeking sanctuary in the UK, getting scholarships, and completing our education. We have supported over 70 individuals, with 50 of these being people we supported while just volunteering.

Our aim is to work towards a more empowering society where everyone has a right to choose their pathway, whether this is through education or otherwise. Our vision is to have more collaborations to build a society where everyone has a right to choose their own future - irrespective of their precarious status in the country - and live with the motivation to progress. As the name suggests, the aim is to aspire for the dreams you choose.

Who do you serve? How do they access services?

We serve all marginalised populations, and they tend to come to us via word of mouth, or through our website via connections we make out in society.

What are your current projects or services?

  • Supporting the progression of a cohort back into education.
  • Building "soft skills" like confidence, empowerment, and public speaking.
  • Developing our employment support.

What are your three main concerns at the moment?

  • The limited connections we currently have to support people into employment.
  • Wanting to be recruited to deliver trainings with charities, social enterprises, colleges, etc.
  • Wanting to work in collaboration with organisations across the North East and recruit volunteers.
