Heritage Revival Fund
Closing date
Grants of up to £500,000 are available to community organisations in England to save, repair and bring neglected historic buildings back into use. The funding is aimed especially at buildings in town centres and in areas facing significant social and economic disadvantage.
There are three types of grant available:
- Project Viability Grants of up to £20,000 help organisations carry out early work to see whether a project is possible.
- Project Development Grants of up to £100,000 support more detailed planning and preparation.
- Capital Grants of up to £500,000 help pay for repair, conservation, professional fees, temporary uses, and changes needed so the building can be used in a new way.
Priority will be given to projects that bring economic and social benefits, involve community ownership, and reuse vacant or at-risk buildings. The funding is provided by The Architectural Heritage Fund through the Heritage Revival Fund.
