Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund (EHCF)

MHCLG has now published the prospectus for the Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund (EHCF), a new three-year grant programme running from 2026 to 2029 representing a £37 million investment in voluntary, community and faith sector organisations working to prevent and reduce homelessness and rough sleeping across England.
The fund has three core objectives:
- strengthening community-based support
- enhancing or transforming day service provision
- and supporting people to sustain accommodation and recover from rough sleeping
Eligible organisations must have an annual income below £5 million, have been delivering relevant services for at least three years, and must be able to secure a letter of endorsement from their local authority homelessness lead officer as part of their application.
Grants of between £50,000 and £200,000 per annum are available for revenue activity, with a separate capital strand of up to £200,000 for one year.
Applications open at midday on 23 February 2026 and close at midday on 31 March 2026.
