The Veteran's Foundation
The Veterans’ Foundation provides grants to eligible organisations that provide assistance to serving and former members of the armed forces community, operational qualified seafarers and their immediate families.
The trustees will consider a range of factors including the projects or items being funded, the number of beneficiaries, the importance of the grant to the applicant organisation, the efficiency of the organisation and the needs of the beneficiaries. Please ensure that you read the grant guidance relevant to the funding programme you select before applying for a grant from the Veterans’ Foundation. The guidance and application form differs for each of the funding programmes.
- Small Grants: Ranging from £500 to £5,000, these are intended for grassroots groups delivering impactful community-based activities. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with organisations permitted to submit one application per quarter. (rolling applications - 1st January – 31st March, / 1st April – 30th June / 1st July – 30th September / 1st October – 31st December.)
- Standard Grants: Amounts between £5,001 and £30,000 are available. The next application deadline is 30th March 2026.
- Salary Grants: Offering up to £25,000 per year for up to three years (maximum £75,000), these grants share the same application deadlines as the Standard Grants. The next application deadline is 30th March 2026.
- Major Grants: Providing between £100,000 and £200,000 over one to three years, the Expression of Interest submissions are currently closed.
Applications for Standard and Salary Grants must be submitted by 30 June 2026.
Expressions of Interest for Major Grants must be submitted by 20 April 2026.
Applications for Small Grants can be made at any time throughout the year.
