Trustee - Kenton Food Bank

Kenton Food Bank is a newly formed charity but has been operating as part of Make Your Way CIC for 5 years. It has developed a strong reputation within the community and since set up, has been managed and run by a social entrepreneur with a loyal team of volunteers.

We are looking for individuals to join our Board to support the development of the required governance for Kenton Food Bank to enable us to take forward the food bank to ensure its long term sustainability within the community.

The expected tenure would be 3 years.

If you enjoy being part of a fun team and have experience of finance, starting up a charity, marketing and governance we would very much welcome a discussion with you.

We would also welcome applications from those with experience of working with vulnerable people or may have themselves have experienced food poverty.

At this juncture we believe a minimum commitment of 5 hours per month would be required which will include face to face or virtual attendance at a monthly Trust Board meeting.

Appointments will be subject to a DBS check.
