Deadline now extended to 2nd December. A small grants programme to fund activities that reach out to unemployed young people and to offer them employment support. North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) is working with Rocket Science to deliver the North of Tyne Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Youth Employment Small Grant Programme.
The small grants programme is open to not-for-profit voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations based in the region to deliver community-based activities to engage and support young people, aged 16 to 24, who are not currently supported through mainstream youth employment provision.
It is envisaged that the programme will support young people through a culture of progression into mainstream services, existing provision or provide added value through community-based support.
Grants of between £5,000 and £30,000 will awarded to around 20 projects, and the anticipated average size of grant is £15,000. All grant funding must be fully spent by March 2023.
