The North of Tyne Combined Authority has announced the third round of Crowdfund North of Tyne: “Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty”. seeking to provide a springboard for locally led greening and food security in the North of Tyne. This is a £200,000 fund, from the NTCA Mayor’s Capacity Fund.
As part of the Combined Authority’s focus on a Net Zero transition and the Mayor's manifesto commitment to work with communities to tackle the climate emergency and food poverty, the Authority wants to fund projects that will make a positive impact for local people and the local area. This can be anything from a community garden, to supporting the reduction of food waste.
