Connected Voice Magazine Spring 2024
Key Findings:
Our special Spring 2024 issue of Connected Voice Magazine is all about Devolution.
With the creation of the new North East Combined Authority now imminent - the election for a new leader takes place on 2 May 2024 - Devolution has arguably never been more important for us to understand.
First, we hear from our Chief Executive Lisa Goodwin about the role the VCSE sector has to play in Devolution, and vice versa. We also hear from Robin Fry, Inclusive Economy Advisor at the current North of Tyne Combined Authority, about the importance of strong relationships between the VCSE sector and combined authorities.
Elsewhere, Cullagh Warnock introduces the all-important One Million Women and Girls campaign, and Arlen Pettitt explains how the VCSE sector can help make Devolution work.
Clare Rodgerson from Tyne and Wear Citizens also takes us through the role of community organising in Devolution, and our Deputy Chief Executive Giovanni Spatuzzi reflects on how Devolution has already fuelled many of our collaborative projects here at Connected Voice.
We hope you enjoy this issue and welcome any questions you may have!
