We would like to let you know that our 2025 AGM, on the theme of 'Resilience and Renewal: The VCSE Sector in Challenging Times', will take place on Thursday 10 April from 1.00 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. at St Mary's Heritage Centre, Oakwellgate, Gateshead.

This year's AGM will shine a light on the most pressing issues facing VCSE sector organisations - particularly small charities - across the country. We will also discuss how the sector might respond to these challenges, and hear from organisations who have shown resilience amidst this challenging environment.

Our Keynote Speaker on the day will be Nathan Gamester, Managing Director of The Centre for Social Justice, who will discuss in detail the multiple issues facing small charities across the country. We also have the pleasure of being joined by Mandy Coppin, Chief Executive of Streetwise Young People's Project in Newcastle, who will speak from recent experience about the factors that led her charity to merge with Everyturn Mental Health.

Below is the schedule in brief:

  • 1.00 p.m. - Registration (with tea and coffee)
  • 1.30 p.m. - AGM begins
  • 3.30 p.m. - AGM finishes (followed by afternoon tea, coffee and cake, and ample time for networking)
