ReCoCo is an independent peer-led mental health charity commissioned to deliver groups, courses, activities, engagement work, training, and research in and around mental health. Everything we do is guided, steered, and delivered by people with direct lived experience of distress and complex needs. ReCoCo works in collaboration with mental health service providers and other organisations that share our aims, in an ‘open source’ and non-proprietary way, to provide a safe space where people can learn from each other and form connections and friendships which aid and sustain their recovery.
Due to expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Receptionist to join our friendly team based in the heart of Newcastle. As the first point of contact you will play a key role in greeting visitors and dealing with telephone and email enquiries.

We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who can operate flexibly, and with the compassion, integrity and dedication that underpins the ReCoCo way of working. You should have at least one year’s experience in a similar role and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be computer literate and ideally have the ability to use both Microsoft Office and Google suites.
Knowledge of the mental health system/wider health and care system, locally and nationally, would be an advantage as would experience of working with people who have mental health issues.

Interviews will be held in December 2021. The format and scheduling of the interviews depend upon the lockdown conditions and pandemic situation prevailing at that time. It is possible that interviews will be conducted through Zoom.
