Connected Voice Advocacy has always delivered training as part of the comprehensive Connected Voice training programme. We are now launching an exciting range of new specialist courses which we can deliver according to your needs.

We are a multi-award-winning advocacy service with specialist skills and expertise and nearly 30 years’ experience in providing high-quality support to people to have their voices heard and rights upheld. We bring those skills and expertise to these training courses.

All courses include a training pack and personalised action plan. Participants will receive a certificate of completion on attendance of all sessions.

Social Justice Champions: Supporting people, helping them to be heard and protecting their rights

Does your organisation provide one-to-one support to people who are minoritised, marginalised or experience discrimination and disadvantage?

Does your organisation make a difference to people's lives by challenging unfairness and inequalities to achieve social justice?

This course is for people who provide support to individuals either in an advocacy setting or more broadly and want to develop/improve their practice and skills. For example it is suitable for advice workers, support workers, service navigators, legal advisers, housing officers, social workers, community workers.

The course shows how Independent Advocacy principles, frameworks and core skills that use a person-centred approach can be put into practice in your organisation to achieve improved social justice outcomes for the people you support.

Our Social Justice Champion training is two days long and can be delivered either over two or four sessions. These in-person sessions can be delivered either in-house or within our fully accessible premises at One Strawberry Lane.

Supporting people with neurological conditions: helping them to be heard and protecting their rights

Are you a case manager, personal injury solicitor, support worker, service navigator, legal adviser, social worker, community worker or work in any helping, supportive role?

Does your organisation provide one-to-one support to people who have a neurological condition?

This tailored training is for people who provide support to people with neurological conditions either in an advocacy setting or more broadly and want to develop/improve their practice and skills to benefit you in your role and to get better outcomes for the people you support.

Neurological conditions are health disorders involving the brain and nervous system and may be caused by physical injury or result from biochemical causes.  A neurological condition may cause paralysis of any part of the body. They include Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Huntington’s Disease and acquired brain injuries.

The course will give you an increased understanding of neurological conditions and will help you develop skills and knowledge to be able to provide holistic, person-centred support to people with neurological conditions to get their voices heard and their rights upheld.

The course duration is 12 hours but delivery is fully flexible and can be delivered either in-person or online
